• Kayaking, SUP’ing or swimming in the lagoon which is an easy 2 minute walk from the house.
• Boogie boarding in the amazing waves on the sandy beach – a 5 minute walk from the house
• Cycling and jogging along the many paths through Jacobsbaai
• Fishing off the rocks right in front of the house

• The West Coast Fossil park (022 7661606) – a must for any first-time visitor up the West Coast.
• The fishing village of Paternoster is only a 30-minute drive away. Paternoster boasts a beautiful long beach as well as many excellent restaurants of which Wolfgat, Die Gaaitjie (0227522242, The Noisy Oyster (022 7522196) and Die Voorstrandt (022 7522038) are just a few you can try.
• Just a short drive from Jacobsbaai, you can enjoy a lovely unspoiled beach set in the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve. Here you will find the unique Seekombuis Restaurant set right on the beach and a must if you are looking for a true Westcoast experience.
• Darling Brew (0760928313) in the town of Darling which produces iconic South African Craft beer and is the home of Darling Brew slow beer. Go for a tasting and/or try their delicious contemporary pub style food in their restaurant.
